Merry Christmas from our family to yours!! Sadly no time for a Christmas letter this year, but I thought I would at least do a quick recap of some of the highlights of 2009 for us, so here you go!
In December (the 5th to be exact), we found out that our little family of two would be increasing to THREE!! YAHOOOOO!!
In February we started some major renovations to our kitchen (we pretty much gutted the entire kitchen) that had not been touched since 1931, when the house was built. Ian, along with the help from our awesome family and friends removed a wall and totally replaced the floor, ceiling, cabinets, counter tops, and sink. Although the work is not yet complete, we are soooo happy with the results thus far.
In April, Ian and I, along with another couple were able to spend two weeks traveling Greece. We traveled all over to see some amazing sites- ancient ruins and history galore, beautiful islands, cute little towns, sailed the Aegean Sea, walked the perimeter of a volcano, ate some amazing food, and even hitched a ride on a donkey. It was a fun and memorable trip!
In July, my sister and her husband Cody made the big move from Idaho to Buffalo, NY (only 3 hours away from us) so that Cody can attend Dental School. We are more than thrilled to have them living so close to us now and we hope to be seeing a lot more of them in the new year.
In September, the three of us were able to make a trip to Boise to introduce Hudson to more of his family and to attend my cousin Josh's wedding. It was a whirlwind of a trip, but a great visit and good reminder of how much we still love Idaho and hope to return there someday.
We have been enjoying receiving all of the updates and pictures from all of you and send our love. Wishing you all a very merry Christmas and happy new year!!
Blessings,
Team Toevs
